영국 유학 제대로 알고 하자 (14) - 케임브리지, 옥스퍼드 합격 점수와 인터뷰 문제

케임브리지와 옥스퍼드에 원서를 넣은 학생들은 인터뷰 offer 를 받고 있을 것 입니다.
인터뷰 offer 를 받은/받을 학생들, 그 외 대학에서 인터뷰 offer 를 받을 학생들에게
옥스브리지 인터뷰 예시 문제를 미리 알려 앞으로 있을 인터뷰에 도움을 주고자 합니다.

인터뷰 문제는 학생마다 다를 수 있습니다만 일반적으로 A-level 에서 배웠던 내용이
많으며 때때로 예상하기 힘든 황당한 질문이 나오기도 합니다.

다양한 학과가 있지만 학생들이 많이 지원하는 학과를 위주로 합격점수와 인터뷰 문제를
알려 드리겠습니다. 합격점수는 합격한 학생의 점수 예 입니다. 그 점수보다 높아도 인터뷰나
GCSE 성적이 낮아서 합격 못 할 수도 있고, 반대로 점수가 낮은데 인터뷰를 잘하고 GCSE
성적도 높고 자기소개서 잘 썼고 awards 가 있으면 최종 합격 할 수 도 있습니다.

합격 점수는 하나의 예 이니 참고만 하기 바랍니다.

인터뷰 질문

 

Simple differentiation e.g. d/dx 2x(x+1)

Come up with a rule for nth derivative of 1/x

Draw graph of e.g. (2x+3)/(x²+1)

Why is copper red and aluminium white(ish)?

Argon and Helium, same amount of moles, both heated, which moves more quickly?

How do metals conduct heat?

Why do aeroplanes tilt to turn corners?

Some integration, resolving forces, differential equations of first order...

Questions related to the Chancellors policies.

Questions about current affairs, the new Governor of the Bank of England, house prices, why economic models are so poor etc.

인터뷰 질문

 

Sketch y=cos(x) and y=cos(2x), then shade the area represented by the integral of cos(x) from pi to zero

Make a mathematical formula that would show which is the most efficient way of moving a bookshelf, by analysing the moments acting around the bookshelf.

Questions about the power dissipated in a circuit and to analyse the resistance in a light bulb and and how it changes over time etc.

Questions about circular motion.

What are you studying at the moment in Economics?

Why should Britain join the Euro?

What is a public good? 

Why is a public good something which has to be provided by the government and not by the private sector? 

What are the disadvantages of the regulation of Privatised Industries?

 

인터뷰 때 일반적으로 자기 소개서에 쓴 내용을 물어보니 인터뷰 전에 자기 소개서를 다시 읽어보기 바랍니다.
그리고 왜 이 과목을 전공하고 싶은지, 왜 이 대학을 지원하게 되었는지는 항상 물어 보는 질문이니 사전에
준비를 잘 하기 바랍니다.
