합격 점수와 인터뷰 문제 시리즈 세 번째로 케임브리지와 옥스퍼드 경제학과 (Economics) 합격점수와 인터뷰 문제를 알려 드리겠습니다. 경제학과는 한국 학생들뿐만 아니라 외국 학생의 절대 다수를 차지하는 중국 학생들도 지원을 많이 하기에 경쟁이 치열합니다.  사전에 정확한 정보을 가지고 준비를 한다면 앞으로 공부나 학교 선택에 많은 도움이 될 것 입니다.

합격점수는 합격한 학생의 점수 예 입니다. 그 점수보다 높아도 인터뷰를 잘 못하거나 GCSE 성적이나 그 외 조건을 충족 시키지 못할 경우 합격을 못 할 수도 있습니다.

Asked various questions about globalisation (such as a definition for it and the issues surrounding it )

인터뷰 문제

What are you studying at the moment in Economics?",

 Why should Britain join the Euro?

What is a public good ?

Why is a public good something which has to be provided by the government and not by the private sector?

 What are the disadvantages of the regulation of Privatised Industries?

You are a buyer and want to buy a car. There is a seller, with a used car worth 1000 and a new car worth 2000. These are worth 1100 and 2100 to you. How much are you willing to pay for each car? If you didn't know what type of car it was, then how much would you be willing to pay?

 

두 학교 모두 A-level  과목으로 Further Maths 를 선호함을 알 수 있습니다. 실제로 대학에서 경제학을 배우기 위해서 뛰어난 수학 실력이 요구되어 그런 것 같습니다.

인터뷰문제는 수학과 경제 관련 지식 등에 대해 주로 질문을 했으며, 평소 신문이나 경제 잡지를 읽는 학생들이 인터뷰를 잘 할 수 있을 것입니다.

 

인터뷰 때 일반적으로 자기 소개서에 쓴 내용을 물어보니 인터뷰 전에 자기 소개서를 다시 읽어보기 바랍니다. 그리고 왜 경제학을 전공하고 싶은지, 왜 이 대학을 지원하게 되었는지는 항상 물어 보는 질문이니 사전에 준비를 잘 하기 바랍니다. 한 가지 더, 인터뷰 당시 경제적으로 가장 이슈가 되는 것들을 미리 챙겨서 준비하는 것도 많은 도움이 될 것 입니다.
