주영한국문화원 7월 문화강좌 안내


○ 전시관련 문화강좌

주영대한민국대사관 문화원은 런던건축페스티벌의 일환으로 2008년 6월 20일부터 8월 2일까지 서울시와 공동으로 <U-Design City_Seoul>전을 개최 중 입니다. 이번 전시는 ‘2010년 세계디자인수도'로 선정된 서울의 미래의 모습과 한국의 근대건축100년사를 보여줍니다.
본원은 2010년 서울의 중심 건축물이 될 동대문 World Design Plaza를 디자인한 Zaha Hadid 건축 사무소의 담당 건축가를 초청하여 “World Design Plaza의 비전”에 관한 강좌와 한국의 서양 건축사를 알아보는 강좌 두 건을 준비하였습니다.

○ 특별 강좌

대영박물관에서 한국관을 담당하던 큐레이터 제인 포탈이 금년 가을 미국 보스톤의 Museum of Fine Arts로 자리를 옮깁니다. 대영박물관의 한국 전문가인 제인 포탈의 마지막 강좌로서, 박물관 내 한국소장품에 대한 문화적 가치를 알 수 있는 좋은 기회가 될 것입니다.

Lecture Series for July 2008 at Korean Cultural Centre UK


○ Exhibition Lecture Programmes

Korean Cultural Centre UK's <U-Design City_Seoul> exhibition, in association with London Architectural Festival and in collaboration with Seoul Metropolitan City Government, runs from 20 June to 2 August. The exhibition introduces Seoul's selection as 'World Design Capital 2010' and Seoul's architectural history. The 'World Design Plaza' is the core building to Seoul's future development as the design centre of the world. These lecture series for July attempts to introduce the vision behind the World Design Plaza by the leading architect and the director of Zaha Hadid Architects, followed by a lecture on the architectural history by occidental architects in Seoul.

○ Special Lecture  

The Korean Cultural Centre UK invites the curator for the Korea Foundation Gallery at the British Museum to illustrate various aspects governing Korean Collection at the one of the most important museums of the world. The lecture is specially prepared before her departure to work at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, U.S.A.
